NAGA is a social-trading broker first and a conventional brokerage second. We opened a live account, funded it with $500 and spent more than four weeks across February and March 2026 testing the copy-trading engine, spreads, execution, a withdrawal and support. Autocopy is one of the better copy-trading products we have used and the CySEC licence is verifiable. Costs are the problem: entry-account spreads were the widest in our comparison set, and a $50 monthly inactivity fee sits well outside the sector norm.
Disclosure: we may earn a commission if you open an account through links on this page. It does not change our scores, our rankings, or anything we found in testing. Read how we make money.

Pros and cons
Everything below comes from a funded live account tested across February and March 2026 unless stated otherwise. Our category weights are in how we rate brokers.
What works
- Autocopy is among the best copy-trading systems we have tested. Allocating capital takes one click, and copied orders reached our account with under a second of delay in most cases.
- CySEC licence 204/13, held by NAGA Markets Europe Ltd, confirmed by hand on the regulator’s public register in February 2026.
- The parent, The NAGA Group AG, is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, so it publishes accounts under German disclosure rules — a transparency advantage private brokers cannot match.
- More than 4,000 instruments, including real shares and ETFs rather than CFDs alone, with fractional dealing at EUR 0.99 per trade.
- Trading account, crypto wallet, IBAN and a NAGA Card (VISA) behind one login.
- NAGA Web runs alongside MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5.
What does not
- Iron account spreads were the widest in our set: 1.1 pips on EUR/USD in February 2026 against 0.8 at IC Markets, and 3.5 pips on gold against 1.2 at Pepperstone.
- A $50 monthly inactivity fee after 60 consecutive days without trading. IC Markets and Pepperstone charge nothing; eToro charges $10 after twelve months.
- The swap-free account excludes gold, silver and oil.
- Autocopy does not work on MetaTrader, so copy traders are tied to the proprietary platform.
- Clients registering from outside Europe may be booked under NAGA Capital Ltd in the Seychelles (FSA SD026), which carries materially weaker protections.
- The mobile app was the least polished part: 3.9 stars on Google Play, heavy memory use, and one crash during our test period.
Company information
NAGA was founded in October 2015 by Yasin Sebastian Qureshi and Benjamin Bilski in Frankfurt. The European entity is NAGA Markets Europe Ltd, registered at Agias Zonis 11, Limassol 3027, Cyprus. The parent is The NAGA Group AG, a German fintech listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Bilski, co-founder, is chief executive. The group runs offices in Germany, Cyprus and the Seychelles and reports more than 2.5 million registered users across more than 100 countries.
It did not start as a broker. NAGA began as a social-trading app called SwipeStox, which explains why the copy-trading side is noticeably more developed than the charting side.
The 2017 Frankfurt listing matters more than it looks: a listed company must publish periodic financial reports, so its position can be assessed independently. When we looked in early 2026, NAGA had published preliminary 2025 results showing improved operating performance, alongside a stated push to adopt artificial intelligence across marketing and operations during 2026 — a company in active growth, which is good for products but means some features are still moving.

Who this broker suits (and who it does not)
NAGA is a specialist, and naming the specialism saves time. If copy trading is why you are opening an account, this is one of the strongest products in the category and a direct competitor to eToro. During our test week, filtering traders by historical performance and risk level and allocating capital were straightforward, and copied orders landed with under a second of delay.
The second draw is breadth — more than 4,000 products, including real shares and ETFs rather than CFDs alone — and the third is the integrated money stack: card, crypto wallet and IBAN in one interface. Against that: if cost per trade is your priority, IC Markets and Pepperstone beat NAGA on their raw-spread accounts by a wide margin. If you need swap-free trading covering gold or oil, NAGA excludes them. If you trade infrequently, the inactivity fee will find you.
Licensing and regulation
Regulation carries the heaviest weight in our scoring. This was the position when we checked in February 2026.
| Regulator | Country | Legal entity | Licence number | Tier |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CySEC (Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission) | Cyprus | NAGA Markets Europe Ltd | 204/13 | Tier 2 |
| BaFin (German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority) | Germany | The NAGA Group AG | Indirect supervision by virtue of the stock exchange listing | Tier 1 (parent-company supervision) |
| FSA (Financial Services Authority) | Seychelles | NAGA Capital Ltd | SD026 | Tier 3 (offshore) |
We verified the CySEC licence on the regulator’s own website rather than taking NAGA’s word for it. NAGA Markets Europe Ltd appeared on the register as an authorised Cypriot Investment Firm under licence 204/13, and anyone can repeat that check at cysec.gov.cy.
The BaFin layer is easy to overstate. BaFin does not regulate NAGA’s trading operations. The Frankfurt listing puts the parent under German disclosure requirements supervised by one of the strongest authorities in the world — real, but oversight of the parent’s reporting, not of your order flow.
The CySEC licence brings a defined set of protections:
- Client funds segregated from company funds at regulated European banks.
- Negative balance protection, so a retail client cannot lose more than the account balance.
- Investor Compensation Fund (ICF) cover up to EUR 20,000 per client if the firm fails.
- Leverage capped at 1:30 for retail clients under ESMA rules.
The caveat is entity routing. Clients registering from outside Europe may be onboarded under NAGA Capital Ltd in the Seychelles on licence SD026, a far lighter regime, and none of the protections above follow you there. Confirm which entity your account sits under before funding it.
The BaFin transparency layer gives NAGA an edge over eToro in some respects, but the licence set is narrower than Pepperstone’s FCA, ASIC and DFSA authorisations. NAGA holds no DFSA licence, and no FCA or ASIC entity appears in its licence table.
Opening an account and verification
We opened an account in February 2026. The process runs entirely online, the form is in English, and registration took about ten minutes: email and password, then name, date of birth, address and phone number, then the appropriateness questions CySEC requires on prior experience, income source and expected investment size.
We uploaded a passport scan and a bank statement, and verification completed in about one business day — faster than the sector average. NAGA accepts a passport, national identity card or driving licence for identity, and a utility bill no older than six months or a bank statement for address, in JPG, PNG or PDF. A demo is available immediately, before verification.
We received no phone call from an account manager after registering, only welcome emails: no sales pressure, but nobody walks you through the first steps either. The demo carries a $10,000 virtual balance with full access to Autocopy. Use it for at least two weeks before funding, to watch how the traders you might copy perform across varied conditions rather than one good week.
Account types
NAGA runs four live tiers, upgraded automatically by deposit size. When we tested them in Q1 2026, the differences came down to spreads, the copy-trading revenue share paid to copied traders, and access to education and account management.
| Feature | Iron | Gold | Diamond | Crystal |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum deposit | $250 | $25,000 | $50,000 | $100,000 |
| EUR/USD spread from | 1.1 pips | 1.0 pips | 0.9 pips | 0.7 pips |
| Real share commission | EUR 0.99/trade | EUR 0.99/trade | EUR 0.99/trade | EUR 0.99/trade |
| Share CFD commission | $6/trade | $6/trade | $6/trade | $6/trade |
| Webinars | Basic | Yes | Yes + VIP | Yes + exclusive |
| One-to-one training | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Dedicated account manager | No | No | Yes | Yes + VIP |
| Swap-free available | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
The ladder is unusually flat: Iron to Crystal buys 0.4 pips on EUR/USD and costs $99,750 in extra deposit. Elsewhere the entry-to-top gap is often a full pip or more. The honest reading is that almost everyone trades on Iron pricing, and Iron’s 1.1 pips is high against the field. IC Markets quotes 0.0 pips on its raw account plus $7 commission per lot, Pepperstone the same on Razor, and eToro starts at 1.0 pips.
Swap-free accounts
Swap-free trading is available on every tier on request. It has a wide audience: traders avoiding interest on religious grounds, and anyone holding positions long enough that overnight financing dominates the cost of the trade.
The terms are specific. There is a 10-day grace period with no additional charge. After that, an administration fee of 10 units of the account currency applies for each further day the position is held. Gold, silver and oil are excluded entirely, on the grounds that overnight financing on them is too costly — a meaningful part of what many swap-free traders actually trade, so check it against your strategy first.
Fees and trading costs
We measured costs rather than reading them off a marketing page. All figures below were recorded on a live Iron account during February 2026.
Spreads
We sampled at different times of day. Spreads widened noticeably at the Asian open and around scheduled economic releases, which is normal, but the baseline itself is the issue.
| Instrument | NAGA (Iron) | IC Markets (Standard) | Pepperstone (Standard) | eToro |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EUR/USD | 1.1 pips | 0.8 pips | 1.0 pips | 1.0 pips |
| GBP/USD | 1.3 pips | 1.0 pips | 1.2 pips | 2.0 pips |
| USD/JPY | 1.2 pips | 0.9 pips | 1.1 pips | 1.0 pips |
| AUD/USD | 1.4 pips | 0.9 pips | 1.2 pips | 1.5 pips |
| USD/CHF | 1.9 pips | 0.9 pips | 1.4 pips | 1.5 pips |
| Gold (XAU/USD) | 3.5 pips | 1.5 pips | 1.2 pips | 4.5 pips |
| Oil (WTI) | 5.0 pips | 2.2 pips | 2.0 pips | 5.0 pips |
NAGA is not the cheap option. IC Markets beat it on every instrument we sampled and Pepperstone on most; against eToro, its direct social-trading rival, NAGA came out ahead on GBP/USD and gold and behind on USD/JPY. Reasonably priced within its category, uncompetitive against brokers who compete on cost.
Commissions
No separate commission applies on currency pairs, commodities or indices; the cost sits inside the spread. Commissions apply elsewhere:
- Real shares: EUR 0.99 per trade, each way.
- Share CFDs: from $6 per trade.
- ETFs: 0.10% of notional value.
EUR 0.99 on real shares undercuts many rivals. The $6 on share CFDs is the opposite: for an active trader placing several a day, that adds up fast.
Overnight financing
We recorded the following swap rates on the live account in February 2026.
| Pair | Long swap | Short swap |
|---|---|---|
| EUR/USD | -10.12 points | +1.58 points |
| GBP/USD | -4.28 points | -5.51 points |
| USD/JPY | +2.10 points | -22.33 points |
| AUD/USD | -3.80 points | -0.95 points |
These sit within the sector norm. Short EUR/USD was positive at +1.58 points, so a short held overnight earned a small credit, while the long side at -10.12 points makes a multi-week long position an expensive way to express a view. The -22.33 points on short USD/JPY is the figure to watch on that pair.
Deposit, withdrawal and inactivity fees
Every funding method is free from the broker’s side, though your bank or payment provider may charge separately. Withdrawals cost $5 per transaction on Iron and are free at higher tiers.
The inactivity fee is the outlier. An account inactive for 60 consecutive days incurs $50 a month, or the equivalent in the account currency. IC Markets and Pepperstone charge nothing; eToro charges $10 a month after twelve months. A trader who steps away for a quarter and returns will find real money gone — on its own, a reason to look elsewhere if you trade irregularly.
Desktop platforms
There are three desktop routes: the browser-based NAGA Web platform, MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. NAGA Web is the primary one and needs nothing installed. The social layer is the organising idea rather than an add-on — the main screen leads with the NAGA Feed, a timeline where you follow traders, see their positions and read their commentary in real time.
Charting is the weak point. The core indicators are there — moving averages, RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands — but customisation is limited next to MetaTrader or TradingView, and we saw slowdown at peak hours. A trader whose process depends on detailed chart work will find this thin.
MetaTrader 4 and 5 are both downloadable and behave as expected, including Expert Advisors and automated strategies. The catch is significant: Autocopy is not available on MetaTrader at all, so the choice is copy trading or advanced charting, not both in one window. NAGA Web does put the crypto wallet and NAGA Card in the same interface as the trading account, which is genuinely convenient.
Mobile apps
We tested the app on Android during February 2026. It is on Google Play and the App Store and carries most of what the desktop platform does. The NAGA Feed is built in, so following and copying traders works properly from a phone. We placed 15 test orders through the app and found execution acceptable, with a slight lag against the web platform. Autocopy is fully functional: copied positions can be managed or stopped from the phone.
| Store | Rating | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Google Play (Android) | 3.9 stars | Complaints about stability and unexpected closures |
| App Store (iOS) | 4.0 stars | Better rated, with comments on load speed |
The negatives were real: noticeably more memory use than MetaTrader’s apps, and one unexpected crash during our test period, matching the Google Play reviews. Against eToro the social experience is comparable, but eToro’s app is more polished and better rated. Against the MetaTrader and cTrader apps used by IC Markets and Pepperstone, NAGA wins on copy trading and loses on advanced technical analysis.
Trading tools
This is one of the widest instrument ranges we have tested at this size of broker.
| Category | NAGA | IC Markets | Pepperstone | eToro |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Currency pairs | 80+ | 61 | 62 | 49 |
| Shares (CFD + real) | 700+ | 1,600+ | 600+ | 3,000+ |
| Cryptocurrencies | 40+ | 23 | 30 | 80+ |
| Indices | 15+ | 25 | 28 | 20+ |
| Commodities | 10+ | 22 | 20+ | 30+ |
| ETFs | 300+ | Limited | Limited | 250+ |
| Total | 4,000+ | 2,200+ | 1,200+ | 6,000+ |
Currencies are the strongest column: 80-plus pairs beats all three competitors and includes exotic and minor crosses many brokers do not carry. The 300-plus ETF range also beats IC Markets and Pepperstone comfortably.
The distinctive capability is real share ownership rather than CFDs alone, at EUR 0.99 per trade, with fractional dealing making expensive shares accessible in small amounts — something most brokers in this bracket do not offer at all. On crypto, NAGA runs both CFD trading and real coin purchases through its integrated wallet. Indices and commodities are the weak spots at 15-plus and 10-plus, both thin against IC Markets and Pepperstone.
Order execution
We placed 50 test orders on the live account during February 2026. Of those, 43 filled at the requested price with no slippage, five filled with positive slippage at a better price than requested, and two filled with negative slippage of 0.1 to 0.3 pips. That is an 86% fill-at-requested-price rate, below IC Markets at roughly 92% but within the normal band for the sector.
On NAGA Web, average execution was under 500 milliseconds in most cases; on MetaTrader 5 it was marginally faster. Around major releases such as US employment data we saw execution slow and spreads widen, which is expected. Stop-loss and take-profit orders executed reliably under normal conditions, with stop-order slippage not exceeding 0.5 pips in the worst case we recorded.
NAGA runs an STP model on the European platform, passing orders to liquidity providers without dealing-desk intervention, which reduces scope for a conflict of interest without eliminating execution risk. Good enough for position and swing traders and for copied positions; not for scalpers, where an 86% clean-fill rate sits meaningfully behind IC Markets and Pepperstone.
Deposits
We funded by Visa card and the transfer took under a minute, with the balance appearing immediately. The minimum first deposit is $250; subsequent deposits start at $10.
| Method | Minimum | Fee | Processing time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard) | $10 | Free | Instant |
| Bank transfer | $10 | Free (your bank may charge) | 2 to 5 business days |
| Skrill | $10 | Free | Instant |
| Neteller | $10 | Free | Instant |
| Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin and others) | $10 | Free (network fees may apply) | Up to 24 hours |
Every method is free from NAGA’s side, though your bank or e-wallet provider may still charge. The list is the international set and nothing more — no local payment rails, so funding runs through a card, an international bank transfer, two e-wallets, or crypto.
Withdrawals
Withdrawals are requested from the account dashboard. We requested $200 back to a Visa card in February 2026. NAGA processed it within one business day, and the money reached the card account two further business days after processing.
| Method | Fee | Processing time |
|---|---|---|
| Credit/debit card | $5 (Iron) / free (higher tiers) | 1 to 3 business days |
| Bank transfer | $5 (Iron) / free (higher tiers) | 2 to 5 business days |
| Skrill / Neteller | $5 (Iron) / free (higher tiers) | Up to 24 hours |
| Cryptocurrency | Network fee only | Up to 24 hours |
Our withdrawal completed with no friction and no extra documentation requests. Some traders have reported delays publicly, though, particularly where an active bonus was attached to the account. Read bonus terms carefully before accepting: they commonly impose trading-volume conditions that must be met before funds are released.
A same-method return policy applies: if you deposited by Visa card, the first withdrawal must go back to that card up to the deposit value, with anything above it by bank transfer or e-wallet. Crypto is fastest at up to 24 hours with no broker fee, but network fees still apply and can be high, so “network fee only” is not the same as free.
Customer support
Support runs across live chat, email and telephone, and we tested all three. Live chat was the strongest: a reply within 3 minutes, from an agent who answered questions on account tiers and fees clearly rather than deflecting to a help-centre link.
| Channel | Availability | Response time |
|---|---|---|
| Live chat | 24/5 (business days) | 2 to 5 minutes |
| 24/7 | 12 to 24 hours | |
| Telephone | European business hours | Immediate when available |
The gaps are coverage rather than quality. Live chat runs 24/5, so a weekend problem waits. Telephone is limited to European business hours, awkward if you trade the US session or sit in Asia-Pacific. Email at 12 to 24 hours is slow, and when chat is closed it is the only route left. A comprehensive Zendesk help centre covers most routine questions.
Research and education
NAGA’s educational material is solid in quantity and limited in depth. NAGA Academy carries articles and video lessons on trading fundamentals, technical analysis and strategy, aimed at beginners and intermediate traders.
NAGA publishes daily analysis and market news through a News & Analysis section. We read several during February 2026 and found the quality acceptable across the major markets, but short of IC Markets and Pepperstone, both of which partner with specialists such as Trading Central and Autochartist.
The distinctive asset is social. Through the NAGA Feed you can follow experienced traders and read their reasoning in real time alongside the positions they are taking. Watching a trader does not make their results yours, and a strong leaderboard record tells you nothing reliable about future performance. Diamond and Crystal clients also get one-to-one training and exclusive webinars, but those tiers require $50,000 and $100,000 deposits — out of reach of the beginners who would benefit most.
Fund safety and protections
When we examined NAGA’s client-money arrangements in February 2026, the European entity met the standards CySEC requires. Clients under NAGA Markets Europe Ltd get the following:
- Funds segregated from company money at regulated European banks, so client money sits outside the firm’s reach if it hits trouble.
- Negative balance protection under ESMA rules, preventing losses beyond the account balance even in extreme volatility.
- Investor Compensation Fund cover up to EUR 20,000 per client if the firm fails or cannot meet its obligations.
- Leverage capped at 1:30 on major pairs.
The Frankfurt listing adds a layer that is easy to undervalue: clients can assess the firm’s financial health from published accounts rather than relying on assurances. Most retail brokers are private companies where no such window exists.
Clients under NAGA Capital Ltd in the Seychelles get none of this. The FSA licence carries no comparable compensation fund and supervision is lighter across the board. Confirm your entity before funding, and take the European one if it is available for your country of residence.
For context: EUR 20,000 under the ICF is well below the GBP 85,000 available through the FSCS at FCA-regulated brokers such as Pepperstone via its UK entity, and vastly better than the nothing offered by offshore-only brokers. NAGA sits in the middle of that fund safety range, not at the top.
Verdict
After more than four weeks of testing across Q1 2026, NAGA reads as a strong social-trading broker inside an unremarkable and occasionally expensive general brokerage. Autocopy works well, the instrument range is wide, and a verified CySEC licence plus a Frankfurt listing gives real transparency.
We score NAGA 7.1 out of 10 on the same six weighted categories we apply across our broker reviews, re-derived rather than carried over from any prior scoring. Trading costs drives it down at 5.5: weighted at 20%, the 1.1 pip entry EUR/USD spread, 3.5 pip gold spread and $50 monthly inactivity fee weigh heavily. Regulation scores 8.0, held back by the Seychelles entity routing and the absence of a tier-1 trading regulator. Withdrawals and platforms both score 7.5.
NAGA may suit you if you:
- Want copy trading built into the broker rather than added on.
- Want currencies, real shares, ETFs and crypto from one account.
- Value the financial disclosure a stock exchange listing brings.
- Trade often enough that the inactivity fee will never apply.
NAGA may not suit you if you:
- Need the lowest spreads and fastest execution, where IC Markets or Pepperstone fit better.
- Need swap-free trading covering gold, silver and oil without restriction.
- Trade irregularly and would face $50 a month after 60 idle days.
- Want copy trading and MetaTrader’s tooling in the same place, which is not possible here.
- Would be onboarded under the Seychelles entity but want European-level protections.
Risk warning: 77.41% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with NAGA. Copying or mirroring other traders carries high risk, including when copying the best-performing traders on the platform. Consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford the high risk of losing your money. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
Is NAGA trustworthy?
Is NAGA a scam?
No. NAGA holds CySEC licence 204/13 and its parent is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, both checkable independently. When we verified the licence on the CySEC register in February 2026, NAGA Markets Europe Ltd appeared as an authorised Cypriot Investment Firm, and we found no indicators of a fraudulent operation. We did find complaints about bonus terms and account handling — a commercial criticism rather than an allegation of fraud.
Is NAGA actually licensed, or does it just claim to be?
Yes. We looked up 204/13 on the Cypriot regulator’s public register in February 2026 and found the entity listed. The Frankfurt listing adds a second layer through German disclosure rules and BaFin’s supervision of the parent, though BaFin does not supervise the trading business itself.
Can I actually get my money out?
In our testing, yes. We requested $200 back to a Visa card in February 2026, NAGA processed it within one business day, and the money landed two further business days later. Some traders have reported delays publicly, most often where a bonus was active and its trading-volume conditions had not been met. Withdrawals work cleanly when nothing is attached to your balance.
Which entity will my account be under, and does it matter?
It matters more than almost anything else here. Clients registering from outside Europe may be onboarded under NAGA Capital Ltd in the Seychelles on FSA licence SD026 rather than the CySEC-regulated NAGA Markets Europe Ltd, which has no equivalent of the EUR 20,000 Investor Compensation Fund and lighter supervision. Check your client agreement before you deposit, not after.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum deposit at NAGA?
$250 to open a new account, with subsequent deposits from $10. That puts you on Iron, where we measured EUR/USD at 1.1 pips in February 2026. Tighter spreads need much larger balances: $25,000 for Gold, $50,000 for Diamond and $100,000 for Crystal, the only tier reaching 0.7 pips.
Does NAGA offer a swap-free account?
Yes, on request through customer support, on all four tiers. There is a 10-day grace period with no additional charge; after that, an administration fee of 10 units of the account currency applies for each further day. Gold, silver and oil are excluded because of high overnight financing costs — a significant limitation if those are what you trade.
How does NAGA compare with eToro for social trading?
Both offer social and copy trading, and spreads are close. NAGA’s advantages are the integrated crypto wallet and VISA card plus MetaTrader 4 and 5 support; eToro’s are a much larger pool of traders to copy and a wider share selection. In our testing eToro’s interface was the more polished, while NAGA offered more flexibility through MetaTrader — where Autocopy does not run.
How long does a NAGA withdrawal take?
In our February 2026 test the request was processed within one business day. Cards then take a further 1 to 3 business days; Skrill, Neteller and crypto can be faster at up to 24 hours; bank transfers take 2 to 5 business days. The fee is $5 on Iron and may be waived at higher tiers.
Is my money safe with NAGA?
For clients under the European entity, NAGA Markets Europe Ltd: segregated funds at regulated European banks, Investor Compensation Fund cover up to EUR 20,000 if the firm fails, and negative balance protection. Clients under the Seychelles entity get considerably less. No broker, at any tier of regulation, protects you from trading losses.
Can I make money copying trades on NAGA?
Copy trading does not guarantee profits, and we will not suggest otherwise. NAGA’s own risk disclosure states that 77.41% of retail trader accounts lose money. Even when copying traders with strong records, the risks include execution delay between their order and yours, differences in capital size that change how a position behaves, and market conditions that break a previously working strategy. Treat it as a way of taking market risk, not as a source of income.
Disclaimer: the information on this page is for educational purposes and does not constitute financial advice or a recommendation to trade. Trading in financial markets carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. Most retail clients lose money on leveraged products. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
