Ownership and editorial independence
A review site that earns money from the things it reviews owes you a straight answer about who runs it and how it is paid. This is that answer.

What we are not
Broker Reviews is a review publication. We are not a broker, a trading platform, an introducing broker, or a financial adviser. We do not hold client funds, execute orders, manage accounts, or provide personalised investment advice.
Nothing published here is a recommendation to trade. A high rating compares one broker against others on our published criteria — it says nothing about whether trading is appropriate for you. Most retail investor accounts lose money trading leveraged products.
How the site is funded
Through affiliate commission. If you open an account with a broker via one of our links, that broker may pay us. It costs you nothing extra, and your account terms are identical to going direct.
We also fund every account we test with our own capital. Reviews are not produced from press releases.
The full disclosure, including what advertising we decline, is on how we make money.
Editorial independence
Reviewers are not told which brokers are commercial partners while they are testing. That separation is a process rather than a promise about our character: it is designed so that our incentives cannot reach a score even unconsciously.
- Brokers do not see reviews before publication.
- Brokers cannot approve, edit, or veto a review.
- A commercial relationship cannot raise a score.
- Brokers we earn from have received low ratings, and those reviews say why.
- Payment is never accepted in exchange for coverage or placement.
The scoring rubric itself is published in full on how we rate brokers, so you can check our arithmetic rather than trust our conclusion.
Corrections
Broker terms change and reviews go stale. If something here is wrong — a fee, a spread, a licence detail, or a withdrawal experience that does not match ours — tell us via the contact page. Documented reports are investigated and can change a published rating.
Every review records the date its regulatory details were last verified, so you can judge how current it is.
