What this site is
Broker Reviews is an independent review publication. We test and write about brokers.
We are not, and do not hold ourselves out as:
- a broker, dealer, or trading venue
- an investment adviser or financial adviser
- an introducing broker or money manager
- a regulated financial services firm of any kind
We do not hold client money, execute orders, or manage accounts, and we never ask for your trading credentials.
Not financial advice
Everything published here is general information about brokers. It takes no account of your circumstances, objectives or risk tolerance, and it is not a personal recommendation.
Our ratings compare brokers against each other on the criteria published at how we rate brokers. A high score means a broker performed well against those criteria. It does not mean trading is suitable for you, that you will profit, or that the broker will perform the same way for you.
Most retail investor accounts lose money when trading leveraged products. See our risk disclosure. If you need advice, speak to someone authorised to give it in your jurisdiction.
Accuracy and currency
We test brokers with funded accounts and publish what we measured, on the date we measured it. Reviews record when their regulatory details were last verified.
Broker terms change without notice. Spreads move, fee schedules are revised, licences change and entities are restructured. A figure that was accurate when published may not be accurate when you read it. Verify with the broker and the relevant regulator before acting.
If you find something wrong, tell us via the contact page — corrections are investigated and can change a published rating.
Affiliate relationships
We earn commission when readers open accounts with some brokers through our links. This costs you nothing and does not change your account terms.
It also does not change a rating. Reviewers are not told which brokers are commercial partners while testing. The full disclosure is on how we make money.
Comments you submit
You may submit reviews and comments about your own experience with a broker. By submitting, you confirm the account is genuinely yours to describe and that what you write is truthful.
We moderate before publication and will not publish content that is:
- false, defamatory, or presented as experience you did not have
- promotional, or submitted on a broker's behalf
- unlawful, abusive, or discriminatory
- someone else's personal information
You keep ownership of what you write and grant us a non-exclusive licence to publish it on this site. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
Intellectual property
The reviews, ratings, methodology and design on this site are ours. You may quote briefly with attribution and a link.
You may not republish reviews in full. Beyond copyright, an outdated copy of a review that has since been corrected can mislead someone into a decision about their money — which is the actual reason for the restriction.
Broker names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used for identification.
External links
We link to brokers, regulators and other third parties. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, terms or practices. Once you leave this site, their terms apply.
Limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude warranties that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any information on it is complete or current.
We are not liable for trading losses, losses arising from your choice of broker, or losses from relying on information here that has since changed. Choosing a broker and deciding to trade are your decisions.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means accepting the current version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Mexico, United States, and disputes are subject to the courts of that jurisdiction — except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you rights you cannot waive.
